Life could be bluer than the dreary moonlit still,
had it not been of God’s extravagant love that’s so real
Wailing and weeping couldn’t bring solace to a hopeless soul,
whose heart is oblivious of life’s beauty and all.
Life could be as gloomy as the greyish star
Without his grace and mercy at the peak of the hour
Troubles have multiplied, with moanings and groanings
As gigantic waves, along the shore, are rushing
Tell me where to take refuge? Tell me where to seek a strong fortress?
It’s in the presence of the Almighty, like a river of peace.
I stand in awe of his dwelling, amazed of his doings
My God is my shelter, an ever present help in times when we wander
